When I was in SSLC, I took tuitions in school itself. I was made in charge of noting down the names of students who weren’t attending the tuitions. Along with me one of my friends, Sudarshun was made to take down the names of who were coming late. The lists were supposed to be sent daily to our principal.
I vaguely remember that it was a bright Sunday in the month of January, in the year 2001. The tutoring always started at 10 am on Sundays. The students liked being punctual & arrived at 9:45 itself. But unlike the students the teacher was late. Having waited till 10:30, my friends started walking back home. But unfortunately I & my friend had the school keys, hence we had to wait till everyone had deserted the place. And now only me & my friend existed there.
In our school we had three PC’s in the lab. Back then the comp was a pretty big thing for us. So switched it on myself & began to play a game(DAVE). It had been more than 20 minutes since I had started playing & now my friend was fuming. Later, I gave him his turn to play & sat on the table behind the chair. We were very much involved in what we were doing. Later, I could hear someone entering the lab. And it was none other than our very own prince (principal). I was totally shocked as I just glared at his face. But my friend, like his natural self, didn’t realize anything & continued talking. Then finally after 2-3 minutes, which felt really long, he turned back & faced the horror. He was shivering with fear but yet he greeted him. But our prince (acting as wise as he could) didn’t reply & went back. As soon as he left, we ran from school.
We ran & ran & ran. We had passed a long distance from school. Then I told my friend that both of us should go back to school & face him before it gets worse the next day. Moreover, we had the school keys, so we returned to school. When we reached the gate, we argued of who should go first. Finally, after all the quarrelling I went inside. We sat on the sofa next to the prince’s chamber & began writing the list. After completing the list, we were sitting with all sorts of thoughts about what would happen next. After a long while, the prince came. My friend gave him the list. Then when I gave mine I got a slap on my face. I had given it with my left hand & hence received a thunder bolt. Not only a slap, he gave us beatings also. He always carried a Police baton, which he now used to beat us. I covered my legs with my pad. But my poor friend got about 2-3 beatings.....sad. Later he told us to leave the place. We were so happy & just walked off. Both of us went back with a sigh of relief. But it was an unforgettable incident.
Wait...wait...It's not yet over. There is a major turning point here.
When I went to school the next day, I was expecting a call from the prince to see me. But luckily, no such thing happened. I wondered why it didn’t happen. As I was passing the prince’s office I saw some parents discussing with him.
Later, I met all my friends & narrated to them about what had happened. But they said that this was not such a big issue compared to what the prince is handling now. They told me that six people were caught in classrooms yesterday.
So here’s the scenario of what had exactly taken place the previous day.
When we thought that everyone had left there were still five people whom we had failed to notice. Among them three were girls & two were boys. Later, our prince’s son also joined the group. So this made them six. So now I think that u could guess what they were up to.
They madly & deeply in love. So they split into pairs (i.e. boy friend with his girl friend) & went to different classrooms. There they sat chatting. When both of us ran away after the encounter with prince, the pairs got caught.
After hearing all this, we thought that we were lucky enough not to get blacklisted. Our parents didn’t also come to know.
